Former police officer Robig Zaenudin was transferred from Semarang Class I Prison to Nusakambangan after allegations emerged that he was controlling drug trafficking from within the prison. This transfer was carried out following public reports and the results of an investigation by authorities, as a precautionary measure to maintain security and order in the prison environment. In addition to Robig, dozens of other inmates were also transferred to several prisons on Nusakambangan to strengthen guidance and early detection of potential disturbances. Previously, Robig had been sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Semarang District Court for a shooting case that killed a student in 2024 and had been dismissed from the police force.
