Former MP Mia Abbas is no more
Former MP of Bagerhat-4 (Morelganj-Sharankhola) Mia Abbas Uddin is no longer. He died on Wednesday at 7am during a medical treatment in the capital city of Ottawa, Canada (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Illihi Ragium). At the time of his death, he was 68 years old.
Dr. Mia Abbas was admitted to the hospital for two years after being diagnosed with various complications including brain tumor. Mia Abbas's wife, 1 son and 3 daughters, including many honors have left the death. She will be buried in Canada, said her wife Sitara Abbas.
Dr. Mia Abbas Uddin was elected MP as an independent candidate in 1988. Morelganj Mia Foundation Chairman Mia Abbas established 7 educational institutions in her own money and efforts. These are: Rowshan Ara Smriti Women's Degree College, Mia Abbas Teachers' Training College, Rawshan Ara Secondary Girl's School, Setara-Abbas Technical and Business Management College, Mia Fuad International Primary School, Manik Mia Dakhil Madrasa and Manik Mia Government Primary School.
In addition, Mia Abbas worked for the welfare of many social and educational institutions.
Mia Abbas was the President of Morelganj Upazila BNP for a long time. In the Tenth National Parliament election, he tried to get nomination from the BNP, but failed. After this, due to group grouping and involved in war crimes cases. After going to Canada with bail. There he got citizenship on Swarambir.
