Esta es la historia de Jim Lake Jr. un chico de 16 años que estará destinado a la grandeza cuando encuentre un amuleto que le dará la identidad del nuevo caza troll. Un héroe destinado a proteger a la raza troll de un mundo de fantasía de aquello que buscan destruirlo y también destruir a la raza humana y junto a sus amigos Toby y Clara y a sus mentores ARGH y Blinky él se convertirá en el primer caza troll humano que cambiara las cosas para siempre.
