Trump’s 2026 Foreign Policy: The World is Changing Fast
It’s only January 2026, but the global "rulebook" feels like it’s been thrown out the window. If you haven't been watching the news, the Trump administration has completely shifted how the U.S. acts on the world stage.
The biggest shock was the military move into Venezuela earlier this month. Trump is calling it a "law enforcement operation" to stabilize oil and get rid of Maduro, but most of the world is calling it an illegal invasion. It’s a massive gamble.
Then you have the Greenland situation. Trump is basically saying that if the U.S. doesn't get control of Greenland for his "Golden Dome" missile defense system, it’s "unacceptable." He’s even pulled out of over 60 international organizations, claiming they just hold the U.S. back.
The craziest part? In a recent interview, he basically said he doesn't need international law to guide him—only his own morality. We are officially in an era of "might makes right." I’m curious to see how the EU and China react to this, because the old alliances are definitely dead.
Is this the "peace through strength" people voted for, or are we headed for a major global conflict?
