Other people's problems

in #newslast year

Sometimes our friends and loved ones can go down the wrong path. Some may gamble, others suffer from alcohol or drug addiction. And some find themselves in less serious, but still unpleasant situations for those around them.

As a devoted helper, you try to provide support. Through words and actions. But in most cases, this only leads to you wasting your time - with no results. Your words of gratitude will not be heard.

This happens because the person you are trying to help is not ready to change their situation. They may talk about the problem and agree with you, but they take no action. Is it worth trying to help them?

It makes sense to put effort into those who not only acknowledge their problem but also take steps to solve it.

Otherwise, you may spend not only your emotions and energy but also years of your life. And you won't be able to help because the person does not want to change.

Whether it's a family member or a close friend, your efforts are in vain until they start taking action themselves. An alternative may be complete isolation from them. However, as practice shows, this is often legally impossible.

Be sensible and cautious. Extend a helping hand only to those who have already started addressing their problem. Do not waste time on the rest.
