Although I pretty much knew the Outcome of the fight before it even started, I have to give the man Credit for going into the OCTAGON with an Experienced Fighter like Mickey Gall.

It started off with MICKEY GALL coming out to the TUNE of HEY MICKEY by Toni Basil. At that point, I have to admit I was going for C.M. Punk even thought I knew the odds were against him, as you could see this young 24 year old Mickey was all full of Himself.

Next come C.M. Punk and you could tell right away he was missing the BIG STAGES where he once drew Millions of people to. Just before he entered the Octagon, he stops, and looks around and takes a deep breath. You know he is taking it all in, he is now 37 and realized likely for the first time in his life just how great he once had it.

I am always curious as to what goes through an athlete’s head as they enter a competition knowing their time in the lime light is coming to an end. Still,, this man trained for 2 years with some great UFC champion Athletes, Tyron Woodley and Anthony Pettis who are GREAT STRIKERS. However the IRONY of this whole match up was that it would be C.M. PUNK’s Inability to Grapple, or Wrestle, that would be his Downfall. Perhaps they thought that would have been PUNKS strong suit and focused on STRIKING, we will not know unless he has another fight.

I have uploaded 3 clips if anyone wants to view the last minutes of the fight and the interviews of each fighter. All and all it was Pretty Disappointing to see the fight go to the GROUND so quickly. I would have liked to have seen this fight stay on its feet for at least one round to see what type of SKILLSET C.M. Punk had achieved. The content was only meat to ask the question as to whether or not CM PUNK should continue in the UFC or not. Personally, I would like to see him get another chance, for the simple reason that it was his first fight and he should get more than one fight for all the hard work he put in..
