RE: Greg Hunter: Weekly News Wrap-Up for Week Ending 1 May 2020
I know everything is going pretty bad but why is there revolts to lockdown? I guess we all were on same page.
World is like chemistry somehow, exceptions are always there.:p
Everyone has no problem with a two week shutdown to help flatten the curve so that ICU's are not overwhelmed.
However, when you take away people's right to work and feed their families for an extended period of time, people get upset.
Then you have insane politicians who do not want people enjoying the sunshine. When sunshine kills the virus and strengthens your immune system. This causes people to rebel because restrictions are nonsensical.
No one wants a large number of people to die from the virus. But the current death rate across the U.S. is 207 per 1 million people, much less than 1%. Then you have reports that far more people have had the virus since November and have lived. These statistics cause people to use common sense and equate the virus to the influenza, where more people have died from the flu in the past.
In the end, it comes down to the life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness which the government is prohibited from violating. People can voluntarily agree to abstain from activities that may spread the virus, but government cannot prohibit their right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And the government cannot deny people the right to gather and petition their government.
It is a complicated issue and depends on people taking personal responsibility for their health and respecting the health of others.
Have a great week!
Steem on,
Mike
