Since there is a reference to Sodom and Gomorrah i would like to point out that no one was called to go and try to change things there. Sometimes thing get so far gone and it's time to get out and don't look back.
I mean getting out of the culture and stop participating in it. Like the Amish do. I am pretty sure Amish communities are not perfect but they do keep the morals and the traditions of their forefathers. I thing the reason they are able to do it is because the don't try to eat the cake and have too. Consuming the filth the the secular culture produces thinking it will not effect them and especially their children.
