The War of the Interwebs Rages On

One would think internet service providers (ISPs) would learn by know that if you mess with the internet, be prepared to face the ensuing storm of mindless comments and memes that berate your existence. A Verizon Spokesperson commented, stating that Verizon was doing “network testing” over the past few days to optimize video applications on the Verizon network, causing throttling issues for Verizon subscribers. Despite the apparent throttling from Verizon, the company argues the test fell within FCC regulations.

This wasn’t the first time an internet service provider has attempted to throttled internet service, and it certainly won’t be the last.
