I watched the video, and don't think he could have torn those two apart with lesser force. He barely managed it at all.

I reckon the problem is that cops were involved to begin with. I'm just glad he didn't shoot them, because becoming physically involved in a violent altercation between people can indeed escalate instantly, and cops are taught not to do it. I think he thought he would more easily break up the fight between what he thought of as little girls, when they were actually adult-sized.

Teenagers are amongst the deadliest of warriors, or at least those that kill the most enemies around the world. Most armies are recruiting teens today, and the age of recruitment is higher now than it has been, particularly during times of war.

These 'children' were his size, and so focused on their fight they didn't even notice him until he physically forced them apart. My oldest son was almost 2 meters tall by the age of 13, and almost a black belt. He was a formidable opponent in a fight, and consequently never got in one fight his whole life.

I did see a 30+ year old ex-con jokingly try to put him in a chokehold from behind when he was 12. Within a second that guy was on the ground, and my kid had his adam's apple in his grasp, with his other arm drawn back for a killing blow.

When allowed to speak, the adult waved his hands in submission, and said "I'll never do that again." Nothing further resulted, no injuries, etc... He never did do that, or anything like it, ever again, either.

That was at 12. Do not mistake minority for incapacity. Kids at puberty become adults in capacity, and pretending they're still children is disingenuous. Of course they've still got a lot to learn. Who doesn't? Plenty of kids have learned plenty of stuff by the time they hit puberty. They're not children anymore.
