BATMAN IS DEAD - RIP Adam West, The Original Cape Crusader
Adam West who was the original Batman died at 88 years of age from complications related to leukemia. Although I lived through the ages of Michael Keaton and Christian Bale's portrayals of the caped crusader, I watched Adam West's Batman roles on television with my grandmother well before Tim Burton's darker introduction.
“Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight, and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans’ lives. He was and always will be our hero,”
his family said in a statement.
