governments are irrational
I present all of history as an example.
what rational entity would pay farmers NOT to grow food during times of hunger?
What rational entity would mandate the destruction of assets during the great depression
what rational entity would intentionaly CAUSE said great depression?
the list of examples of government insanity is endless
(if you've ever been in the military?..)
if a person acts crazy...we call him crazy
the same for government.

Governments are rational to their reward system, which is opposed to the rewards system used by business and hence just about everybody else.
