The day of revenge is near

Dear NextColony settlers,

many months ago, when me and my people flew from the devastated planet Earth, we had hoped that we had escaped the nightmare of war. We had hoped to live a new, peaceful live in space, acting as traders.

Unfortunately, this was not our fate. Instead, one morning we were woken up by the roaring engines of an enemy army, seeing one of our younger colonies raided by an evil attacker. We had done no harm - but still they were coming after us. And unfortunately, this was not a one time event, but the attacker has kept coming back, raiding me and my people again and again, taking away the hard earned result of our mining activities.

However, while we are peace-seeking people, we are no pacifists which will just accept a fate as victims. We are no sheep - we can be wolves as well.

We had not been actively building ships before - but in the last days we have been active in the market, buying war ships by the hundreds. Overall, an army of more than a thousand ships is approaching our colony.

We will restore peace by destroying all enemy ships. After that, we will be open for peace - as said, we are peace-loving people. This was not what we had wanted - but we do now what needs to be done.

Does our enemy know what is coming? Does he watch the sky, waiting for the incoming army of ships, which he cannot defeat? We do not know, and we hate to sacrifice the lives of his brave spaceship crews. It is not their war, it is not their fault - and nonetheless they will be the victims of the evil actions of their commander.
