Don't succumb to intimidation
Why when dealing with a bully appeasement never works.
History teaches that World war II may never have happened if Neville Chamberlain the then British prime minister had never tried to pacify Adolf Hitler by conceding the Czech border to him in negotiation in hopes of keeping him from further aggression. He misunderstood the mindset of an aggressor. An aggressor sees any attempt to find a middle ground with him as a sign of weakness which further emboldens him to go for what he really wants which is total domination or destruction. An aggressor is sensitive to weakness, a slight show or glimpse of that, he goes first the kill.
Hitler took the appeasement as a sign of weakness and fear, he knew he could take Europe and establish world domination.
There's something about facing an opposition that you have never faced before and that is you are weary of the opposition just as he is weary of you and that's because both sides has no leverage on the other, no weak link, no knowledge of how strong or weak the opposition can be.
What you are scared of is also scared of you.
This i hope can be at the back of your mind in approaching any kind of opposition. Do not show your weaknesses.
Aggressors get a mixture of thrill and fear when they see an opposition that can stand up to them.
Just my thought, let me know yours.
