#streetnextturn: Haulage Service?
These young men are as hard working as they can be. Basically without an education except for a privileged few who have some form of informal trainings that just affords them a fair ability to express themselves in pidgin mixed with their native language.
Everyday, they travel long distances by foot to-and-fro the city centers where their services are required.
Services rendered may either be to transport goods bought in the market to the parking lot or to a motor park where it is either delivered to the owner of the goods or bus terminal for onward haulage to its destination or moving of equipment to where it's needed or scavenging for metal scraps or plastic bottles or empty wine bottles for recycling or simply put, reuse for purposes not limited to production of fake products for the Nigerian market.
These boys are seen in small groups or clusters in street corners, road dividers, shades, etc at any point in time of the day.
Welcome to the world of barrow boys.
Words and photos by me @mbiedabasi
such is life......but truth is only the bravest survive and if you are not ready to work then be ready to go on hunger strike......so with the odds of nature against these ones they only just have to do whatever it takes at that level to irk out a living...............it is well with them
Wow! Well said @megamindz79
Doing nothing is just a disaster. Because hunger will have no mercy.
God bless their hustle!
I pray so, too @dandelionspea
