Finally! My Farming in Progress

Finally! My farming journey has just begun.

Last month I decided to start my farming journey together with a friend. I've been thinking of starting a farm since the year began, but my mind was playing tricks on me due to depression. Last month, I took action, I discussed with my friend how we could rent a land for a certain price and start farming on it. Our first discussion sounded like we are about to try the impossible but with positive approach we took a step.

We consulted a village chief to lease a land for farming. We were able to secure 4 acres of land.

We started the journey after the land was secured. It was a virgin and fertile land, it has not been used for farming before.

he journey has not been easy as we thought it would be. We have spent more money and clearing, ploughing the land. Presently, we have cleared 2.5 acres of land out of 4 acres.

ur plan is to do mix cropping on the land (cassava with maize crops). We have planted maize, the next stage is to plant cassava.

I'm happy to share this journey with Steem community. I will be updating my progress on this journey from time to time.
