A Letter to Life

From the bright screens of our mobile
In the confines of our small room
In the darkest hour of the night
Somewhere in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria
On this day 05/01/2018

To life with whatever name you may bear
On whichever planet you may reside

Dear whatever form you may take

We are not pleased at all to write to you
This is something, a couple of times we have tried to do
Things on our mind so many, it, we started to loose
Sometimes we wonder if all this actions to you is a muse

We are not fine, if you must know
If only you were human, you'd reap what you sow
And fall into the dark hands of your sister when you grow old
We think she hates you as much, or we’ve been told

See life you are a balance,
We loose our grip, we’d slip and fall into an abyss
Our mind never again knowing peace
Our life is falling apart but we deny it
Cause when that slave word "freedom" is said We seem to like it

And we are confused, when our hommies blowing trees
We are worried about living free

Or when our folks pray to the alpha for salvation
