Hitting the Street

Let’s define the playing field:

Walking Street is the center of the action in Pattaya. As the name suggests, it a street which is closed off to vehicles at night and only accessible by foot. It’s a long street that is lined with bars, clubs, strip clubs (gogo’s) and restaurants. There are many side streets (soi’s) with smaller gogos that can be a lot more daring then the ones on the main drag.

There is something for everyone on Walking Street.

Looking for the Ladies

When it comes to looking for the ladies, you’ve hit the jackpot. There are more girls here then you can shake a stick at. Most gogo’s will have their line if girls outside to draw customers in. They only real way to see if there is any good talent inside is to take a peek. Sometimes you will look inside and the place will be almost empty and this is not too much fun.

Beer bars are mostly grouped together in large outside areas. Very convenient for browsing. You can cover a lot of area in a short amount of time looking for “The One”. This is a great place to start when you first come to Thailand. The girls are friendly, easy to talk to and do not push too hard for drinks.

How does it work?

Meet girl.
Like girl and girl likes you.
Negotiate expenses
Pay bar fine.
Go have fun

When you meet the girl of your dreams or at least the dream for that night, you will discuss what it cost to take her from the bar or gogo. You will need to negotiate what you will need to pay the lady for her company. It’s important to have this figure already hashed out before leaving to avoid any misunderstanding that evening or the next morning. The range for this should be somewhere around 1,500 to 4,000. This is usually determined by the length of time you would like dream girl to be with you. Either short time or Long time. Short being 2 to 3 hours and long time for the entire night.

There is a Bar Fine that you will need to pay. It’s a fee you pay to the establishment for taking the lady out for the night. Bar fines are anywhere from 300 to 1,500 Thai Baht depending where you are. Gogo’s tend to be on the high end and beer bars on the lower side.

From there, it’s up to you. If it’s still early you can go to one of the many clubs and have a few drinks, listen to music before heading back to your hotel of fun.
