Finnish telecom major Nokia on Wednesday said it would create 5G portable system innovation in India at its extended Research and Development (R&D) focus in Bengaluru.

"We are expanding staffing at our R&D focus in Bengaluru in 2018 to concentrate on cutting edge advances crossing 5G portable system design, Voice over LTE (Long-Term Evolution or an a standard for fast remote correspondence for cell phones and information terminals), cloud and huge information examination," Nokia R&D focus head Rupa Santosh told journalists in Bengaluru.
