Norwegian Crypto Game Parsec Frontiers Makes Headlines In Large Norwegian Mainstream Financial Newspaper E24
A computer game owned and developed by both developers and gamers. That's the goal for Parsec Frontiers.
Jack Wulff CEO of Artplant is the guy who is reponsible for Parsec Frontiers. A science fiction game being made by the former developers from Funcom and makers of BattleStar Galactica.
Artplants CFO Henning Rokling was hired when the company for real started to talk about developing a crypto game. Also Morten Larsson who was Funcoms marketing director for over 10 years has joined the team.
The simple idea behind implementing cryptos (or a real economy) into a game is to make sure that players who invest money, time and effort into the game will own actual valuable assets.
The game itself seems to become a awesome intergalactic space game. perhaps in the spirit of Eve online?

Also, extra fun that the game receives some mainstream attention in Norway. I personally think this game could be HUGE if they do things right. Games with "real" and scarce assets which can be traded on exchanges for cryptos will be huge for gaming. The problem many have experienced in the past as gamers is that the developers all of a sudden dumps items into the game because of cry babies who doesn't want to do "work"(game) and then comes crying to the developers to give them items for cheap.
Huge online worlds is not something entirely new..but if people can have an economic incentive to play, and earn money contributing and creating the world in which they inhabit, it has real world value. People spend a lot of time playing..why shouldn't they earn money doing that?
Trust me, when I say that implementing crypto economies into MMO's will be absolutely insane in the future. People play computer games, and with advanced graphics, VR and game mechanics PLUS cryptocurrencies..we are going to take gaming to a whole notha level.
Crypto kitties and these other shitty games is laughable. Once they manage to implement cryptos into REAL graphical games..people will make a living gaming. Much more so than some all ready are today.
