Like sør for Nordmela på Andøya ligg det to fine sandstrender. Bileta viser at den eine stranda ligg like ved husa på Nordmela. Den sørlegaste som ligg ved fotballbanen, vert nytta som parkeringsplass om sommaren. Bileta er tekne frå den sørlegaste stranda.
I fine varme dagar brukar både folk frå området og tilreisande turistar frå andre stader i Norge og land sør i Europa, dei fine strendene til badeplassar. I dag viste termometeret 30 grader i skuggen på det varmaste.
På parkeringsplassen såg eg at campingbilane og andre bilar, hadde skilt frå Austerrike, Tyskland, Frankrike og Nederland.
Dei fleste sola seg eller vandra på stranda i det fine sommarveret. Men det var og nokre som nytta høvet til å bada i sjøen.

Just south of Nordmela on Andøya, there are two excellent sandy beaches. The pictures show that one of the beaches lies​ close to the house of Nordmela. The southernmost near the football pitch is used as a parking space in the summer. The photos are taken from the southernmost beach.
On nice hot days, both people from the area and visiting tourists from other places in Norway and from other countries in Europe enjoy the beautiful beaches of bathing places. Today the thermometer showed 30 degrees in the shadow at the warmest.
On the football pitch, which lies close to the southernmost beaches, I saw that caravans and other cars were from Austria, Germany, France and the Netherlands.
Most people sunbathe or wander on the beach in the lovely summer weather. But there were some swimming in the sea.
