A day in the life : Day 646

I started the day with some interesting news about AI agents. The focus seems to be shifting toward systems that can actually carry out several steps on their own, rather than simply giving an answer in a chat box. There is a lot of excitement around this, but I am more interested in seeing what people actually manage to do with these tools over the next few months.

AI has become such a regular topic now that even announcements about new models do not surprise me much anymore. What catches my attention is when someone finds a simple use for the technology that I had not considered.

My own problem today was caused by a cupboard. I was looking for something I knew was inside and ended up removing almost everything from one shelf. After a while the floor was covered with random things, and I still had not found what I wanted.

Eventually I discovered it in the exact place where I first looked.

I put everything back, although I am not convinced the cupboard is actually more organised than before.

The weather was fairly pleasant today. There were clouds around for most of the afternoon and a little rain later. The humidity was noticeable, so I kept lunch fairly light and had a simple dinner. I seem to prefer ordinary home food more when the weather is like this.

I also spent some time looking at a few older ideas and realised that some of them could probably be useful if I approached them differently. It is funny how an idea can look pointless one month and interesting again later.

The evening went by quickly. I cleaned up the cupboard, finished a few small tasks and spent some time reading.

Nothing spectacular happened today, but I managed to find what I was looking for without buying another cupboard.

That feels like a reasonable success.
