A day in the life : Day 661

I read an interesting update today about the way companies are approaching AI infrastructure. The conversation is becoming much bigger than just buying powerful chips. Data centres now need more electricity, cooling, networking and storage, and companies are trying to figure out how to build all of that efficiently. It is funny how something that started as a software trend has turned into a huge infrastructure story.

I also noticed more discussion about AI being used for small business tasks. Things like sorting documents, answering routine questions and analysing simple data are becoming easier. Those uses seem more realistic to me than expecting AI to solve every complicated problem.

My own problem today was caused by a clock. I looked at the time in the morning and thought I had plenty of time before something I needed to do. I got distracted with another task, checked the clock again and realised I had somehow lost almost an hour.

I rushed around for a while and still managed to get everything done. It was a good reminder that checking the time and actually paying attention to it are two different things.

The weather has been fairly comfortable today. There was some cloud cover and a little rain, but nothing heavy. The evenings are starting to feel less like the middle of the monsoon. I had a simple lunch and made a light dinner.

I spent some time this evening cleaning up a few physical things around my desk too. There were papers, receipts and random notes sitting around that had slowly accumulated. Most of them were no longer useful.

By the end, the desk looked much better.

It was a normal Saturday. Nothing major happened, but I managed to get through everything I needed to do, cleaned up a small mess and learned not to trust my morning sense of time quite so much.

Now I am actually checking the clock before saying goodnight.
