Adding colour to my latest sketch and contemplating Patience
# Here is a crop of my latest sketch with colour added.

And here it is without the Steemit Crop

I was unable to use my wacom tablet I love to play with colouring this sketch
However, it did give me pause to consider Life in general. I always think in the frustrating bit (well the good bits too) there is always something to learn.
For me, I find I am a rather patient person. I think my love of gardening helped to develop that over the years. And being patient has always been something I do try and work on. It is moments like yesterday, with the loss of my tablet and ability to work on my art as I had planned, that tries that patience.
To try for action but be stopped by Fate gives one a good lesson in Patience.
I tried, thanks to my friend, to even drive out into the city to find a replacement plug that 'might' be the issue with my tablet, but alas none were to be found.
This meant I had to return to our good friends (and future overlords) Amazon. And as it was later in the day my 'next day deliver' is actually 2 day delivery. Just as I was placing the thing in my basket the time frame for the 'day' must have changed, as at first it was meant to be here today (as I ordered yesterday) but after paying the delivery date changed to the 28th.
Another moment to Practice Patience.
Thus, today I spent more time then I would have using my little surface, as it is very slow and old compared to my main computer and separate wacom tablet. I simply brewed up a good hot pot of tea, settled in with Ivan and put some distracting UK house hunting shows on the telly and we have made a morning of it.
Lesson learned, sort of? As I am sure lessons in Patience aren't every truly learned.
As Ivan and I have the house to ourselves for the next couple of days, we are going to go and take a walk to the local farm stand and I'll get some farm fresh eggs, wonderful local meats and veg and a little treat for Ivan. It's a bit cooler today, but the sun is trying to come through.
I hope all of you are enjoying the Holidays and are looking forward to the New Year.

I'm not sure what the 'carousel of photographs' means @cafeonleche or I'd be happy to, but not really sure that it's all about, could you explain? And thanks, I decided to try to use @ntopaz as I saw other artists I like using it :)
The woman looks so cool! I like the way you color to make texture on it.

Patience may be a virtue, but it's a hard won virtue for me much of the time.
I often think of something and have it ordered and paid for before the stores here even open. I am indeed one of the proles of Amazon!
As always, good to see your most current art. I always appreciate it. Give Ivan a scratch behind the ears for me, will you?
@bigtom13 it sure is hard won. I do often think Gardening most of my life taught me 'some' patience, but it is always tested especially with tech. Thank GOODNESS it turned out to be a cable and not the actual expensive bit of kit!
I fully admit to using Amazon often for my things and I've even begun to just get my food delivered (usually from sainsbury's or waitross) because it is so easy. We will all happily stand in line to be ruled by our AI computer robot overloads I'm afraid, but what can you do? People like convenience?
Hello, and a Happy Late Christmas, my friend. It has been awhile. I was out and about visiting my family for the Holidays, so have been amiss on here a lot. Sigh. Should be on here more often soon. Looking forward to 'getting back'. I hope your New Years celebration will be a fun one, and the New Year a Peachy one as well. Did you have a nice Christmas? I'm guessing it was a bit classical in your small town there. Oh, what fun.
As for patience, I am like you, full of it at most times, and at other times, more just full of it. Sometimes the 'stuff of the world' just doesnt' work like it 'should', and then it gets a bit thing. Hope your tablet machine is up and running now, as this was a few days ago. Your lady is quite fetching, and as for Ivan, he looks like a fun pooch to hang and wander about with. Looks like a sage, wise soul. Well, hope your day is a bright one. Cheers .
Happy Christmas ( a bit late) @ddschteinn ! I hope you had a wonderful holiday and Happy New Year as well, as that happens tomorrow!
I assumed you were busy. Though I also thought possibly you had posted a million things and I simply forgot to get to your blog. Since my move this year, it's been more complicated because of getting the house and kitting it out. Also when I am here, I usually live alone, but sharing a house with friends also makes things different and any idea of a schedule is a bit harder when there are others to consider.
I had a wonderful and quiet Christmas. And in fact had a solitary Christmas morning walk through village, churchyard and field. It was a lovely holiday and I hope yours was as well.
Yes, Ivan and I are good ole' friends. We enjoy our daily rambles and more and more are being recognized and meeting locals due to him. Everyone has dogs here and so everywhere we go are more dogs for him to meet and socialize with, which is great fun.
I'm heading over to your blog now.
awesome coloring , it looks very nice
Thank you so much @adelepazani.

I really love how you can reflect on even the frustrating parts and come up with a gorgeous message about Patience :) I admire that ! So very true, also !
The drawing looks very nice, even if your tablet is giving you problems, I can see where you are trying to go with the colour palette :)
I hope to see you back at arting fully when your tablet returns!
Happy 2019, also <3
