Heathcliff the deer (Oil painting on paper)

in #ntopaz6 years ago (edited)

Yesterday night I finished the third character for the series of paintings inspired by books and so I can show you the final result. ^_^

This dressed deer is inspired by Heathcliff, one of the characters of the book "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Brontë.

I read that book when I was a young girl (around 11-12 years old) and I read again more and more time also when I was an adult, because I'm so intrigued by all those characters, especially by Heathcliff who seems to be a sort of romantic, but tortured hero. His love for Catherine is full of passion, but also a "dangerous" relationship, because everything is mixed with anger and jealousy.

I chose to represent him in form of deer because deer is an animal who intrigued me so much.

This artwork is an oil painting on 200 gsm paper n A4 and I hope you like it.

See ya soon and steem on,

Silvia
