Don't worry, you got the main gist of the whole story XD <3 !
Especially all the unicorns being driven into the sea and the heroine becoming human, which changes her understanding of mortals.
And let's be fair: The whole film a bit of a gong show in how it's stitched together, so details can be, erratic... even after recently seeing it ;D
And YES, we get the honour of discovering a whole new way of wondifering our piccars ~
