RIP Steve Harwell.

I've got a really specific and positive memory of Steve Harwell (Smashmouth's singer that died today). He once, when I was a teenager, pulled me on stage, put his arm around me, and let me sing the entirety of "Why Can't We Be Friends" with him.

I didn't know him personally, but it was such a wholesome memory from an unwholesome time of my life that I can't help but feel like that may have been him as a person.

Then again, he might have just been drunk.
