FIREFLY FACE 4; DRAWING OF JOHN F. KENNEDY (Technique, materials and tips)
Hello Everyone!. I hope we're having a good time today. My feature for today's Firefly Face post is one of the most intriguing icon in history, the Legendary Sir John F. Kennedy (JFK). He was once a senator and the president of the United States of America.
So many events happened in his life time many of which are overwhelming, ecstatic and tragic. I'll be sharing some of these events in my next post tomorrow. But for now, let me show you how I made the drawing from scratch
The materials I used in making the drawing are shown below.

From the top, an eraser, a dry paint brush, a graphite pencil, a soft texture black charcoal and a medium texture black charcoal.
The paper I used here is a Pelican paper.
• Firstly, I make a free hand hand sketch of JFK's profile with the graphite pencil. This would help as a guide when using the charcoal pencils.
• As I draw the eyes with the charcoal, I blend with my brush. I make use of the charcoal pencil to add details and realism to the drawing. A graphite pencil wouldn't give me the desired effect.
• I used the black charcoal pencil to create some shades around the face and hair. Afterwards, I blend with the brush to give a smooth and skin-like texture.

• I added other features like the ear alongside highlights and details on the face, hair and clothing.

The reference photo for this drawing was found on www.pinterest.com
I have to confess, drawing this isn't as easy as described but with patience, the right materials and the right technique, you can achieve the same result.
Thank you for checking out my post. Please do come around for some facts you probably didn't know about JFK in my post tomorrow. Till then, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day.
