RE: Tags. Stay off the beaten path.

Great analytics, piss-poor analysis. You need to look at the POSTER and the VOTERS. I think you will find that most times, the unique tags are by hi-level users with good followings (which you are not) and/or any user that bots their posts heavily (which you are not). The well-used tags will make one pop up in areas (UI of long time users) that will get you noticed. Steem is a "war of attrition" and you need to get consistent hits and the very, VERY BEST WAY to get a Following is...

to be a good Follower

Sure, the analysis I offered is incomplete. And certainly the correlation does not indicate the causation.

I have not tried to produce a "success formula", but rather to inspire people to create OC. If someone had asked you for an advice as to what they should blog about in order to be successful, would you tell them to post in dtube and photography?

LOL
Pardon my bluntness, sometimes it saves time. Let me maybe clear this up a little...

  1. We have 5 tags to use on the Steemit UI (busy UI allows more)
  2. If one had video or picture content, then I'd say YES, use D-Tube and Photography, INDEED.
  3. At that point I'd then try and be "descriptive" with one or more of the remaining tags
  4. The first tag should be used as the primary descriptor, or main category
  5. remaining tags should add details
  6. some tags are used to alert community voting services
  7. more tags can be added in the content itself, like #minnowbootcamp etc.

Unique tags? How would one find these? The blockchain is not geared towards UNIQUE, and I believe it takes several uses of a tag to be found in the steemit tagging array. Plus, if I am posting under altcoins but you search out altcrypto, we may never connect.

What you have done here is highlight another weakness "cryptopayoff" ;-)
