Rescued Bees Re-hived and Relocated!

Hey everyone, we recently saved these bees from under a water fountain at a clients house. This was by no means an easy rescue as we first needed to remove all the water from the fountain. We then tipped it on it's side these bees attached themselves to the bottom of the fountain, certainly not making this an easy rescue. Here they are re-hived relocated and happy.

Last night we did another bee rescue saving them from behind IBR sheeting and between a wall, I shall blog that soonest.

      Good job. Have captured swarms which are amazingly docile. Haven't yet moved a hive from where it can't stay. Aside from moving the queen into the hive box so the others will follow, do you also take some of the comb with brood to coax away nurse bees, and comb with honey to further strengthen the move?

      Hey thanks for the comment ye we do all.of that as well as put lemon grass oil in.its the closest thing to Queen Feromone made by man works a dream. I am on cellphone now will elaborate later :)
