OCD Daily: Issue #194
OCD DAILY - Issue #194
Welcome to the 194th issue of @OCD Daily!
Issue #194 highlights content from ten (10) Steemit Content Creators! The OCD team continues it's search throughout Steemit to find you the undervalued gems, as provided by relatively new users.
Today our curators found you ten new pieces of original content! We strive to find works that are provided by newer Steemit users, that may not have the audience which their quality content deserves. @OCD strives to help provide that audience, and intends to showcase Steemit users who put in the extra effort to create creative, original content.
A curator will FIND a piece of work (typically from newer users), within 24 hours that piece has been submitted from the curator to the @ocd team, votes tallied and the pieces with the most votes are placed into the compilation.
We encourage you to visit these blogs and to show these great Steemians your support and encouragement.
All of the content as chosen by our curators is undervalued, but there is always one piece that rises to the top. That piece is seen as universally appreciated and valued making it OCD’s Top Nomination of the Day.
If you plan to visit Kaltenbach in Austria, you should take into account this hotel recommendation by @tabealouise. It’s a beautiful hotel on the hill about 10 minutes from the valley station. It is modern, very cozy and gives us spectacular views of the town and mountains. The service, food and drinks are great and they claim they have alpacas you can pet. So just click the link and check it out by yourself.
The next post by @ozzz169 isn’t chicket soup for your soul, it is more like a slap in the brain. Your thoughts are really yours? Our mind has been modeled? Are we really who we want to be? Do I really have free will? You can find these and other reflections in this publication.
If you need a beautiful and badass leather eyepatch made out from dinosaur skin, that shouts I want to conquer the world and you have problems getting it, maybe the @armadilloman can help you out. He is a leather artsy craftsman and likes to work with Ostrich Leg Leather. Ok, ok it’s not dinosaur skin but it looks really cool.
Now we will share a nice an entertaining piece of good writing by @anikekirsten. It is the story of Lord Etin of Ireland and a race to prevent the sky from falling. I do not want to reveal too much, so go on an click the link and make sure you finish it in the part 2.
If you’re having problems introducing Steemit to your friends, here is a great idea. Inspired by another steemian who tattooed the Steem logo on their hands, @el-cr came up with a less extreme idea and decided to cut his hair leaving the steem icon marked on his head. This way you can make an statement of how important is Steemit for you and it is also a good conversation opener.
Here is your opportunity to learn something interesting today. Do you know what Gamelan is? For starters is an ensemble of percussion instruments from Indonesia, like a traditional drum kit but with a unique sound. If you want to know more about it, just click in the link and you will know its origins and influences.
One of the most touristic places in Japan is Osaka and today @fauleta gives us a nice tour of the city and its surroundings. There’re ancient castles, modern buildings and iconic monuments for you to enjoy. Also don’t forget to try the Takiyaki it is typical food of the city.
Let’s congratulate @supersoju that just delivered her first real order of desserts. She says “real” because they were made for an actual paying customer, not just for fun of friends. But if you ask me, she looks like a pro with years of experience. Just take a look at that fondant covered cake and macarons with cute bees.
Stop everything you’re doing because not real Erik is in the house. Not real because that it not his real name but an alias so let’s stick with that. Please welcome him to Steemit, he’s from Malaysia and he’s into science, health and physics. Please give him some of those legendary Steemit love.
Finally @funny.arts a talented artist, shares with us a pencil drawing of Avril Lavigne. Just look at that level of detail in the hair and the eye, really good work in there. Go and say hi to her and if you’re lucky enough she may draw you in the near future.
We hope you were able to take away something different, fresh, and new from these content posts, as provided by the @ocd curators.

Thanks so much OCD for the nod. If you think the ostrich leather is odd stuff, I just made an eyepatch for a customer out of...toad. Stay tuned!
What a pleasant surprise this was. A huge thank you to @mk40 for the nomination! I was wondering why my first baking post had received so much love and attention when my second baking post didn't. This is my first time learning about @ocd . Great to see people out there actively looking and helping out undervalued quality posts. Great way to band together those who value content and quality. With so many posts out there, @ocd helps to filter out those special gems and help connect people together. Such a great concept, one that I will be sure to follow.
Cheers!
p.s. I have cast my first witness vote to @ocd-witness for their valued work and projects dedicated to promote a healthy, encouraging and positive steemit community
