This is the second portrait in this style. I love this one. I didn't expect it to become this good. But i really think that i have outdone myself this time. Also i am loving to paint faces like this.
Even though it's really not good for me to paint faces like this but i will keep doing this for a while because i am having so much fun.

Enjoy

Used Reference Image for style and structure.

Here are some process shots and description:

Just like the previous portrait, I took the exact same sized canvas as the reference photo, it was important. Since i am not painting the whole face i need to be careful while drawing facial features. when i draw whole face i have the round structure to put the facial features in, but in this case I short of had to go in completely blind. So taking the same sized canvas was very important. I took the reference photo in my phone and hold it right by the side of where i am painting.
Then i started drawing simple lines to mark where the eye and lips and nose will be.
Then i took another layer beneath the previous layer and tried to make a cleaner sketch. Specify a little more details. After doing the tiny details, i took another layer placed it at the bottom and filled that with a skin color.
I took the darkest color possible to shade the dark part of the face. When light hits the skin the skin is supposed to look a kind of red. I wasn't being able to get that color normally so i used overly mode and the result was amazing.

After painting all the shapes, i started to blend them and then kept painting and working on details. I changed the colors from the ref photo almost completely. But i think that made it even better.
