One thing that has always blown my mind Is God telling Abraham to sacrifice His only son. That scripture hasn't hit me as much as the way God presented it to Abraham. He said take your only son whom you love and even gave him a location.
God wanted him to know the value of what he was sacrificing but you know what? he was not perturbed because the value of what he was sacrificing could not be compared to who he was sacrificing to. Yes, you can always take your "only's" when your presumed only means an only not to you because of the person you gave the only to. God always credits but never debits. Understand this and sacrificing the last is as simple as many.
The scripture is Genesis 22:2...God said "Please take your son, your unique son whom you love, Isaac and go to the land of Moriah. Offer him as a burnt offering there on one of the mountains that I will point out to you"
