Quick question(s) , any genre accepted? And , i suppose open mic would suggest singing , but I'll ask anyways : Are instrumentals allowed? Also , are there any alternatives to posting the videos besides youtube? And .. sorry last one ... I think I'm a bit confused about the voting ... Do we vote by just upvote-ing for the individual's post on their page for the songs we want to win? or ...
Any genre is welcome. You can enter ANY song you like. A cover song from someone else, or an original song by you. You can even play an instrument. Or you can sing. Or you can do both sing and play an instrument. You can even perform with a friend or a group of people. But just make sure you say Open Mic Wk 26, for this week's so it is validated and confirmed as a real entry in the beginning intro of your video
I don't know of an alternate to posting videos other than Youtube, do you have issues with using Youtube? And you can go to the individual's post and Upvote it, or leave a comment on any of the Current Wk Open Mic posts by @luzcypher and drop a comment saying "I loved (insert Steemit Contestant Name Here e.g. @BOB His performance was amazing!"

Any genre is good. Singing or playing an instrument. I don't know if other video sites would work or not but it needs to be posted on a video site like youtube and a link added to your steemit post to have a video play on steemit. You can vote on their posts or on the links they leave in the comments of this post or both.
Here's who played last week and here are votes from last week on the contest page but people also voted on their posts.
