RE: Open Mic Night Wk 21 Entry: No Defeat Part 3 (Original Song)
OH, MAN! My missing of this is completely unforgiveable. To think, you even gave me a shoutout here, complete with correct pronunciation, too! :'( I'm really not sure how I could've missed this! I commented on parts 1 and 2, and I'm always on the lookout for part 3! I must've gone through some major life thing that prevented me from going online. Last month has been a bit turbulent, so I attribute it to that.
I really need to establish a stricter protocol in terms of checking posts of my close friends so I don't lose track of any one. Maybe I could write a small script that emails me whenever you guys put up a post.
As for my thoughts regarding the song, WOW! When I commented that this was a rallying cry, I never thought it would turn out like this. This turned out to be one of your catchier songs that makes my head bob uncontrollably. And, Lord knows you've amassed quite a lot already. You're really making this into a new art form! Your silky smooth vocals really carried this. Heck, as I write, I keep humming "Noooo defeeeeat". This is one of those songs that you play in your head before you play a big match or a championship.
Magnificent work, brother! And, I'm not saying this because we've really gone close these past months, but this comment truly is coming straight from the heart of a fan :D
Oh wow, I could have sworn you commented on this one. And I'm so glad you loved it! It definitely is a battle war cry spiritually and is good for any preparation of battle, even for Ledd and "The Great War" of his ancestors :)
And yeah, I'm glad that turbulent month is over for you bro. That would be cool, but you would get almost an email from me nearly everyday since I post pretty consistently. I'm still working towards my goal to flying out to USA so everything helps.
But yeah I appreciate the feedback and support always bro, I'll keep bringing out new songs for you to enjoy and PS, this wasn't the song I was referring to. I was actually talking about "THE STEEMIT SONG" which can be found on my brother's page @sirwinchester, as he helped me film and post it when i had first joined steemit. I wanted to be the first to make The Steemit Song, and it was nominated to be played at the first Steemfest but never came to fruition. If you have never listened to it, when you get a chance, please put some headphones on, peep the lyrics, I would love to record that one professionally soon, especially now that Steemit is one year old. This was back when Steem was worth a dollar I believe. I pray the price raises up to help both you me dreemit and Zepp.
I was thinking about the same thing! Will definitely post this in a later chapter where this fits ;) No spoilers though!
I know it's not a lot, but I transferred an additional 25 STEEM your way yesterday to make my contribution an even 50 for your trip. When STEEM rises, that would be worth more. With the way you're going, I'm sure you're not far from your goal. I've been keeping up with your tally, and I hope one day that you strike big and a generous whale would put you over the top.
Shoot! My bad! I checked @dreemit 3-month recap and I saw the link there, I thought it was it. It's such a great coincidence though!! Out of all the songs that I've kept up with ever since we became friends, I was linked to the one song that I accidentally missed! That's fate and destiny at work, my bro.
I haven't seen or heard The Steemit Song before, but I'm viewing it now. My comments on it after the jump.
The ambient noise and the distortion really took away some thunder, but otherwise it was a very intense throwdown. I'm sure that the quality would improve once you re-record this professionally. It's interesting to see your take on it after experiencing Steemit for more months after. @sirwinchester's camera work was impressive, and it really added to the experience. You should definitely have someone filming you for your submissions as it definitely adds a dynamic effect when viewing.
