Open Mic Week 35 Winners - See Who Won Open Mic And Join Us This Week
Open Mic Winners From Week 35
Thanks to everyone who entered and supported Open Mic Week 35. Community support for Open Mic has been tremendous and is one of many projects bringing the music community together on Steemit.
This week had some of the best entries yet and broke a record on Steemit Open Mic for the most entries thanks to all of you helping promote and support this project.
Big thanks to my friends staying at the Hostel Rio for helping me pick the winners this week. There were so many talented performers it was hard to pick and a fresh set of ears really helped.
A big shout out to @pfunk for sponsoring Steemit Open Mic and getting the word out with his post titled, Hey Did You Know There S A Weekly Steem Open Mic Contest --- by @pfunk
I just want to remind everyone that votes are only part of the selection process. Entertainment value and performance is factored in too.
The coolest thing about Open Mic is it brings the Steemit community together and that is the whole point of this project.
Thanks to @pfunk for helping to sponsor Open Mic and he's even generously been giving Steem bonuses to participants posting original music. You can vote for @pfunk to remain a Steemit witness by clicking here and voting for @pfunk.
If you make music be sure to check out @soundlegion's post Music Artists On Steemit Submit For Soundlegion Steemit Music Artists Compilation V 1 --- by @soundlegion
Open Mic is not about winning or losing, it's about building a connection on Steemit through music. Watching the collaboration happen online between musicians who played and met on Steemian Open Mic is very rewarding and many of the people who play and post earn some nice rewards for playing a song.
For many, it's easier to get some Steem in your tip jar by playing for Open Mic than it is to play music on the street.

Each week is breaking a new record for the last 4 weeks. Week 36 is looking awesome. Love what you bring to the platform. I have been adding a link to your Steemit music project because I think it is an awesome idea. Keep me posted.
and today's definition of good luck is waking up with no STEEM, noticing it has nearly doubled in price and then noticing you have won first place in the STEEM openmic and now have 150 STEEM. I Thank You All!! and my landlord thanks you as well.

like this post.
Come join us in song.
Congrats guys! Like the idea....when it is hard to choose, get a new set of ears. These three performers did an outstanding job. Go open mic! Shout out to @pfunk for the bonus!
I have had some new ears helping for the last 12 weeks now. Just so you know. We have even played the songs to groups of people staying at a hostel from all over the world. We drink, listen on the bar's stereo system, and pick. Lot of fun. Plus, we can talk about Steemit and sign people up.
Great man! Wish I was there. You have to play them my "Ode to Cancun" sometime haha.
Good idea. I will
Congratulations to the winners and to all in general, there is good music playing
Loved your contribution too. Keep them coming
It has been a pleasure for me. This really is a great project;)
Glad you like it. Come play week 36
Of course and thank you
I don't suppose anyone is running a comedy open mic on steem?
Not that I know of but great idea. Hard to pull off without a crowd though.
Hm. Either a per-city meetup of Steem users for a set of Steem comics or maybe just a single joke-telling contest? OOO. I'm going to record myself laughing, and then provide my laughter free of charge to any Steem comic who needs a laugh track. :)
Edit: DONE
I found my long laughter in another short and clipped it for any comedian to use. https://steemit.com/humor/@improv/if-you-need-a-laugh
Very over the top laughter but it made me laugh.
That's the goal! :P
