RE: SLC S27 Week6 - Let's Play OpenTTD - Trains & Railways
Thank you for joining the sixth week of studying this game!
Despite bankruptcies and difficulties, your company has paid off its loan and now has 4 million in balance.
Playing in the desert is already challenging, and you also had the “vehicle breakdown and wear” option turned on — that made it even harder. On top of that, there’s inflation, economic fluctuations, and strong competitors!
The city constantly needs water and food — and more and more of it over time — but you managed to handle that well.
Your income is still quite low, and there are lots of resources waiting at the stations. You should gradually add more vehicles and extra stations.
I also noticed that your stations are only one tile long — you should make them longer so that the whole train can fit on the platform. Otherwise, it takes much longer to load and unload.
| 1. | You chose the right city (actually, more than one — good job!) | 2/2 |
| 2. | It’s a pity you only have one train delivering water, and the rest is transported by trucks. | 3.5/4 |
| 3. | Everything looks good, but you should add more trains. To make the city grow faster, transport goods regularly in small amounts — trucks work better for that than trains. | 2.5/3 |
| 4. | Your result on the server isn’t great — probably because the game mode was harder. You also went bankrupt a few times. I used to go bankrupt often in the desert too, but there’s always a way out — maybe the desert requires a different strategy. | 0.8/1 |
| Total | 8.8/10 |
Overall, you did a good job — it was a tough map and conditions, but you handled it with persistence and creativity!
