Teething Remedy: Create a teething pain remedy. Describe the preparation and application method.

As a teething pain remedy, I recommend Chamomile and Clove Soothing Gel. This is very easy to prepare, and I believe it would provide speedy relief to the teething pain. I can remember, those days, my mother used to prepare them and apply them to my gums when I got toothaches.

Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons of dried chamomile flowers
  • 1 clove (only good for older babies)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel

Preparation:

First, add water to the chamomile flowers and clove, then boil it for 10 minutes. After that, strain it into another cup and keep it cool for a few minutes. Once totally cooled, add the aloe vera gel and mix it well.

Application:

Apply cotton or a piece of cloth around your finger, then get a small amount of mixture into your finger, and gently rub it onto the baby's gums. This needs to be done two to three times a day. When applied to baby's teeth and gums, the chamomile in the mixture helps to relax and minimize discomfort. While aloe vera helps to cool the gums and relieve irritation. It is recommended to use a small quantity first.

Research Assignment: Research three herbs safe for children and explain their health benefits.

Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica)

Health benefits:

Gotu Kola is enriched with vitamins B and C; therefore, in Sri Lanka we commonly used them to prepare porridge called "Kola Kanda.". This porridge helps to improve children's memory, focus, and overall mental development. It also helps to improve digestion and soothes skin irritations. It also helps to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression in children.

It can be used as a salad and as a drink. Most people boil gotu kola and strain it into a cup and give it to children for overall wellness.

Ginger

Health benefits.

Ginger immensely helps with children's digestive problems. Using the appropriate dosage of ginger helps children's stomach discomfort, gas problems, and digestion. It also helps to reduce nausea and motion sickness. The antiviral and antibacterial properties of ginger help to prevent the child from illness. When a child develops a cold, we can add a small amount of ginger to their drink to help soothe their sore throat and warm their body.

Peppermint

Health Benefits:

Peppermint is a quality cure for digestive difficulties. In my childhood, my mother used to add a small quantity of peppermint to our tea because it gave us faster comfort. Peppermint is also used for headaches and nausea symptoms in children over 30 months.

Herbal Remedy for Bedwetting: Make herbal remedies to cure the bedwetting problem in kids. Write the recipe, preparation steps, and observations.

Thanks for the invite for you have done so well in your publication. However, I have less knowledge in herbal medicine. I wish you good luck.

In Sri Lanka, as a mother, I used several herbs for my children when they were kids. Even today, when they suffer from cold, toothache, fever, or headache, we used to give them herbal medicine first. If that does not answer, then only we bring them to a doctor. Thank you for reading and supporting my entry.
