Excursion in the Val Campelle and tasting of typical products of Trentino Alto Adige - Discovering Italy with alequandro

Hello and good week to all!

Today with this new episode of "Discovering Italy with alequandro" I will take you with me to discover another beautiful valley in Trentino Alto Adige:

The Campelle Valley

Ciao e buon inizio settimana a tutti!

Oggi con questo nuovo episodio di "Discovering Italy with alequandro" vi porterò con me alla scoperta di un'altra bellissima valle del Trentino Alto Adige:

La Valle Campelle

It is a secondary and somewhat hidden valley.
To reach it you have to travel a long and narrow road between deciduous and fir forests, while I was driving I hoped there were no other cars because in some places you can't get past two cars side by side.

The valley is rich in water and in fact I met numerous bridges and streams; the main stream is called Maso.

E' una valle secondaria e un po' nascosta.
Per raggiungerla si deve percorrere una lunga e stretta strada tra boschi di latifoglie e abeti, mentre guidavo speravo di non ci fossero altre auto perchè in alcuni tratti non si riesce a passare con due auto affiancate.

La valle è ricca d'acqua e infatti ho incontrato numerosi ponti e ruscelli; il torrente principale si chiama Maso.

As soon as we parked the car we immediately entered a beautiful forest and the thing that I liked best was the water that ran through it.

Appena parcheggiata l'auto siamo entrati subito in un bellissimo bosco e la cosa che è mi è piaciuta di più è stata l'acqua che lo attraversava.

The valley is renowned for mushroom hunters, in fact there were so many, but I only saw those that were not good or poisonous! :D

La valle è rinomata per i cercatori di funghi, infatti ce n'erano tantissimi, ma ho visto solo quelli non buoni o velenosi! :D

Not knowing the Valley, I discovered with pleasure that there is also an itinerary that runs along the stream, and they told me that it is very beautiful, in the spring I will return to visit it is called: educational water trail.

Non conoscendo la Valle ho scoperto con piacere che c'è anche un itinerario che costeggia il torrente, e mi hanno detto che è molto bello, in primavera ci tornerò per visitarlo si chiama: sentiero didattico dell'acqua.

I could connect to the water path thanks to this bridge that crossed the stream but the forest was too beautiful so we decided to explore that area...

Potevo collegarmi al sentiero dell'acqua grazie a questo ponte che attraversava il torrente ma il bosco era troppo bello così abbiamo deciso di esplorare quella zona...

The view from the bridge was very beautiful and I thought I'd take a shot before returning to the woods ...

On the right we see the trees fallen due to the Vaia storm in October last year, it seems that no forest in the north has escaped!

La vista dal ponte era molto bella e ho pensato di fare uno scatto prima di tornare nel bosco...

Sulla destra si vedono gli alberi caduti a causa della tempesta Vaia nell'ottobre dell'anno scorso, sembra che nessun bosco del nord ne sia scampato!

Walking through the woods was incredible the variety of mushrooms I saw...mushrooms are always fascinated!

Camminando nel bosco era incredibile la varietà di funghi che ho visto...i funghi sono sempre affascinati!

The play of lights and shadows that can be seen in the woods are incredible and seeing streams running through it is wonderful.
You can only hear the sound of water and walk on the soft ground with a light feeling.

I giochi di luci e ombre che si possono vedere in bosco sono incredibili e vedere anche ruscelli attraversarlo è meraviglioso.
Si sente solo il suono dell'acqua e camminare sul terreno morbido da una sensazione di leggerezza.

When the sun was setting we decided to leave the forest to go and see where the main road led and we came to a large, beautiful hotel. When I return I have promised myself to go and visit it, I'm sure it has the typical wooden interiors and the characteristic stube that is used in these places.

Quando il sole stava calando abbiamo deciso di uscire dal bosco per andare a vedere dove portava la strada principale e siamo giunti ad un grande albergo molto bello. Quando tornerò mi sono ripromesso di andare a visitarlo, sono sicuro che ha i tipici interni in legno e la caratteristica stube che si usa in questi posti.

Near the hotel there is a small church with the typical wooden shingle roof, perfect for that place.

Vicino all'albergo c'è una piccola chiesetta con il tipico tetto a scandole di legno, perfetta per quel luogo.

One last look and we got back into the car to go on a little further to see what was a little further ahead.

We have seen numerous picnic areas with tables, benches, barbecues ... in spring and summer it must be beautiful!

A brief stop near a votive wooden kiosk, the air was fresh and clean, the sky was clouding, it was time to go home...

Un ultimo sguardo e siamo risaliti in macchina per proseguire ancora un po' per vedere cosa c'era un po' più avanti.

Abbiamo visto numerose zone da pic nic con tavoli, panchine, barbecue...in primavera ed estate dev'essere bellissimo!

Una breve sosta vicino a un'edicola votiva in legno, l'aria era fresca e pulita, il cielo si stava annuvolando, era ora di tornare a casa...

Nearby there was the Maso stream that broke the silence with the roar of the water of a small waterfall...

Lì vicino c'era il torrente Maso che rompeva il silenzio con lo scrosciare dell'acqua di una piccola cascata...

As soon as we left the valley we noticed a tavern and decided to stop for a drink ... we didn't know it but we had just entered the oldest inn in the Trentino Alto Adige!
Think that it already existed in 1782!

The restaurant's name comes from the cheese they invented, the Crucolo cheese we tasted and is very good and tasty.

Appena usciti dalla valle ci siamo accorti di un'osteria e abbiamo deciso di fermarci a bere qualcosa...non lo sapevamo ma eravamo appena entrati nella più antica osteria del trentino alto adige!
Pensate che esisteva già nel 1782!

Il nome del ristorante deriva dal formaggio che hanno inventato, il formaggio Crucolo che abbiamo assaggiato ed è molto buono e saporito.

The owner also advised us to taste the parampampapoli, a traditional Trentino alcoholic beverage served with the flame whose basic ingredients are: coffee, grappa, wine, sugar, honey together with natural spices and aromas.

While we were sipping the hot drink, the owner also told us that the scum jerseys invented it right there!
I checked and it's true, it's also written on wikipedia!! :D

Il proprietario ci ha anche consigliato di assaggiare il parampampapoli, una tradizionale bevanda alcolica trentina servita alla fiamma i cui ingredienti base sono: caffè, grappa, vino, zucchero, miele assieme ad aromi e spezie naturali.

Mentre sorseggiavamo la bevanda calda, il proprietario ci ha anche detto che il parampampoli l'hanno inventato proprio lì!
Ho controllato ed è vero, c'è scritto anche su wikipedia!! :D

Then the owner showed us the cellar and opened up a world of delicacies!
Cold cuts, cheeses, traditional wines...how many delicious things!

Poi il proprietario ci ha mostrato la cantina e li si è aperto un mondo di prelibatezze!
Salumi, formaggi, vini tradizionali...quante cose deliziose!

It doesn't look very good because I only had the smartphone with me to take pictures, but look at the very long salami you see in the upper left...it's 27 meters long!!

Non si vede molto bene perchè avevo con me solo lo smartphone per fare foto, ma guardate il salame lunghissimo che si vede in alto a sinistra...è lungo 27 metri!!

And what do you think of this form of cheese?
It weighs 456 kg and told us that they will have to ship it to America...who knows if they can still do it with current duties...

E di questa forma di formaggio cosa ne pensate?
Pesa 456 kg e ci ha detto che la dovranno spedire in America...chissà se con gli attuali dazi potranno ancora farlo...

And as a last part, another taste!
First a taste of the delicious crucolo cheese, very good indeed I bought 1 kg!
Then a particular cheese with apples, more than good I would say particular :)

E come ultima parte, un altro assaggio!
Prima un assaggio del buonissimo formaggio crucolo, molto buono infatti ne ho comprato 1 kg!
Poi un particolare formaggio con mele, più che buono direi particolare :)

Looking back at the photos, I got hungry!
That evening we had dinner there and we had a great time.

I would say that we spent a day full of discovery just like I do!
