Melvin Gordon threatens to hold out if he doesn’t get a new contract! Hooray!!!!
Heading into the 2019 season most Denver Broncos fans would agree that our team is not as strong as a couple of others squads in our division. At best the Broncos could possibly compete for the second seed in the division but winning the division is not impossible while unlikely.
Most would agree that the sorry Kansas City Chiefs look poised to win the division since they hosted the AFC Championship game last year but, many including myself think the LA Chargers might be the best team in the division this year. Recently, Star running back Melvin Gordon has stated he either gets a new contract before the start of the season or he demands a trade. This is great news for the Broncos because #28 is a handful to deal with twice a year. Hopefully the Chargers deny his demands and Gordon decides to pull a Le’Veon Bell and sit the entire year out to become an unrestricted free agent next year! Moving Gordon out of the division and possibly out of the entire AFC would be a sigh of relief for Broncos Country world wide. To me Gordon is one of the top five running backs in the game and to rid the west of him and Kareem Hunt in back to back years certainly puts Denver back into the mix when talking about talent matchups.
Not only is Gordon an absolute monster as a runner, he’s easily top 3 catching balls out of the backfield and his deep threat ability is something most linebackers in the NFL do not know how to handle. The season starts in just a couple weeks with training camp and hopefully day one in LA sees an empty locker for the Chargers runnng back room.

The strength of a team is very dependent on talented and highly disciplined players and team cohesiveness. Hopefully the Broncos can be the best team.
This is one of the reasons i love NFL and also NBA. Things about which team is good or bad, can change really quick. In a matter of season or two, you can get from bottom to top and vice versa. In my opinion that is because of salary caps and draft system.
In Europe it's all about the money now days, the more you have, the more you spend and the better you are. Good become even better and the gap is bigger every year. There is no switching about who's on top and it gets a bit boring.
