Job.36.11 - If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
Ps.16.11 - Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Ps.36.8 - They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

What about drunkenness and gluttony. God has placed a desire in us to long for food and to thirst for water and wine. This is another means of pleasure to the body. But the devil has taken hold of this pleasure and caused men to base that satisfaction on food or drink alone and you see drunkards and gluttons everywhere.

Or should we talk about riches.
God made man and put him in a beautiful Garden where he would be comfortable. God made that pleasure of Comfort inbuilt in man, that's why when you think the sun is too hot you just can't take it or when the environment is too cold your body doesn't want it. Man wants to be comfortable and that takes resources. God has littered the earth with enough riches that this age can't exhaust. But greediness and an excessive longing for possessions and comfort have made men steal from others and some just tuck the riches in their bowels, while others get poor.

God wants pleasure for you. He wants Pure delight for you. He doesn't want a boring robotic human being, that is why he gave you emotions, he gave you a mind of your own so that you can have delight in what you choose to do.

THE DEVIL DIDN'T CREATE ANYTHING, STOP MAKING HIM FEEL LIKE A GOD

The apostle Paul said, ALL THINGS ARE YOURS.

Now that you see God wants pleasure for you, he desires that you make him your number one source of pleasure, let your delight be in God.
God wanted us to enjoy him that was why he said "If you love me keep my commandments"

God related with us on the basis of Love and he wants us to relate with him on that same basis, he doesn't want us to serve him because we are afraid he'll do something to us if we don't. He wants us to serve him because we love him. He has kick FEAR out of the picture.

1John.4.17 - Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
1John.4.18 - There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

God wants us to be perfected in love. That's Pure Delight.

There's a part you have to play.
Instead of setting your affections on the pleasures why not set your affections and Delight on the one who made the pleasure just for you.
That will be more pleasurable.

Ps.37.4 - Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart's desires.
Ps.40.8 - I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your law is written on my heart."

As a Believer if you haven't learnt to place your Delight and pleasure on God, Heaven is gonna be boring for you, because in heaven "ALL WE DO IS GOD

The Apostle Paul said.
SET your AFFECTIONS on things above

Many have set their affection on sex, food, money, drink and the likes, but as Believers we SET our Affections on Christ!

We're Believers!
Christ is our pleasure forever.
Our affections are set on him because He wants to be our pleasure.
We pitch our satisfaction on Christ.

We're Believers: Our Pleasure is not 10min! Our pleasure lasts forever
