Weighted Blanket - Worth the hype?
So, I took the plunge and purchased a weighted blanket. The brand I bought was BeautyRest. Price was $80.00.
The verdict: Awesome! I love it. The feeling of the weighted beads against my body helps me feel extra relaxed so that I fall asleep easily and comfortably.
Pros:
- Made well - high quality, soft material, great consistency of beads so that you feel just the right amount of weight on your body.
- Perfect size for one person so no sharing needed!
- Easy wash/clean
- Makes you feel warm and cozy
Cons:
- Very warm. I might recommend buying a "cooling" weighted blanket
- You get used to it fast and the initial effects might ware off. Meaning, you might want to switch over to your old comforter one or two nights of the week and then go back to the weighted blanket, just for re-feel that initial calming and de-stress effect.
If you are thinking about buying a weighted blanket you certainly should.
