I agree with you on that. It's like the whales are trying to turn Steem into a private club, where new users aren't welcomed.
That's not in their interest as falling user numbers will not help the Steem price and a lot of whales paid more for what they have. There are good and bad whales. Work with those who are don't good for the platform.
