Yellow Blood?
Blood plasma is a yellowish liquid component of blood that normally holds the Blood Cells in Whole Blood in Suspension. It is the liquid part of the blood that carries cells and proteins throughout the body. It makes up about 55% of the body's total blood volume. It plays a vital role in an intravascular Osmotic effect that keeps electrolyte concentration balanced and protects the body from Infection and other blood disorders.

So I texted my siblings on this and they all answered that they only have Red blood, not Yellow...LOL
I explained to them that the Yellow blood is actually inside the Red blood. My siblings mostly carry type O and B blood type, so we have no problem on donating to my mum. In fact, some of the blood donated will be used on other patients. According to the doctor, there were six other patients waiting for Yellow blood donation and the hospital blood bank is very low.
Wow, that's actually the first time I've heard of that, I actually worked in a hospital and never seen this in my whole stay there. That sounds so unique. I hope and pray that your mom will feel better soon. Thanks for the new information that you gave me. Have a great week ahead
Thanks. My mom okay now...but still need to go for a follow-up review.

First I've heard of yellow blood too. Perhaps they meant blood plasma - which is yellow in colour?

Is this "darah kuning"? In English, I think this is blood plasma. Language is such fun.

This is the first time I heard about Yellow Blood too.
Most blood donors donate what’s termed full blood, usually 350ml for females & 450 for males.
The full blood collected will be processed by the lab, where platelets, blood plasma , and red blood cells will be separated and used for different purposes.
That’s my understanding 😅😅😅
I used to donate full blood until a doctor encouraged me to donate through a process called Apheresis. Through this the blood bank will collect my platelets & blood plasma, the red blood cells is “pumped” back to my blood stream. By doing this, one can donate their platelets (most needed in operations & for transfusion to Thalasemic patients) every 14 days, if the needs arises. This process can really speed things up and more patients can benefit from it.
On ur next donation, do inquire with the blood bank if you are eligible to donate thru this process...😊😊😊

Wow...i never know this. Last time I try to donate blood, they said my blood can only support my body, so I was rejected. Anyway, thanks for this info..
