i love the paradox games community
imperator rome was not a good release. compared to the times, its fine. its good value. but this is paradox games. releasing a game that needs a week one patch is not acceptable at all. in most places, i have to be the one who calls shit like this out. but not with paradox games.
they released a statement for the future roadmap "the game will be done by june, and playable next week" - paraphrasing a bit. under most anouncements like this you will have people saying its good they are fixing the problems so fast or something. the paradox gamers where all screaming "shame, shame, shame, shame" i was clearly not needed here. one not perfect game, thats a 42 user score baby.
i look lightly on how bad this game is, because everything is so bad in the industry at the moment. i do genuinely believe that they are correct in complaining this way. i just never have the chance to truly let the gamers just take the fight themselves. in this situation im the problem, enjoying it. when half the comments are "shame" they can handle me not helping
i want to treat this as i do with fortnite, as sport. but in fortnite i had to fight against friends to keep them from skins, here i can just enjoy myself. watch how the developer does, and the community acts (i play games for fun, i watch sport for strategy) it will be interesting to see how a developer tries to deal with the true core of gaming. the people that are sick of having to mod games to make them playable. the pc master race i guess.
