How important is the vocabulary
👧: Mommy, instead of using the word “stupid” can I say dumb? Is that less harsh?
🧕: No babygirl, you should not use either words.
👧: So what should I say?
🧕: Foolish may be is a better word but only if you must.
Believe it or no for 10 years up in till now, she has never once use the word “HATE” even referring to a food she dislikes. Instead she says “It's not my favorite.”
When they are little, you may think it's something so small, but surprisingly the vocabulary you use to your child will comeback to you when they older
So instead of saying “SHUT UP”, pls say “PLS BE QUIET”. There are so much hate in this world, we should start teaching our kids more love, start small, start from within.

I learned this value from my mom, how she raised me, I grew up to be a very sensitive little girl, because there are so many bad words that are not allowed in our home but I still have to listen them out of home. I will start upset and even cry back then, when everytime someone say a bad or harsh words even it didn't said or mean to me or they said it to another people that completely I don't know them.
When I was a little girl, I thought I would die crying if once when I get older and have to live with someone who speak harsh words and cursing a lot. Yup the little me has made it clear.
Honestly the new environment when I grow older has changed me, but now I realized and finally found myself back and start thinking about how important is our vocabulary, also once it will comeback to us.
Imagine when we get old and our child say something harsh to us even they didn't mean it.
And now me and my husband don't have kids yet, but we decided to make all the harsh and bad words are strictly forbidden in our home including cursing, yup we try our best.
If you feel lost, you can try to remember how or why you cry, how or why you smile, how you behave, how you act etc when you were child. Then you can try to bring the memory alive as you are now.
