Deepavali Dinner

in #partiko6 years ago (edited)

Since yesterday was Deepavali (Festival of Light), and my wife have Indian blood, i have the feel to make an Indian dinner. So I choose Chicken Tikka Masala!!

I choose chicken thigh instead of chicken breast is because, chicken thigh meat is much more sweeter than chicken breast. But debone them is really messy!

In the tomato paste and heat it up until fragrant!

In the milk (i use milk because heavy cream is expensive! Is the same thing basically)

Broiling chicken in process 😋

To complete it, i choose flat bread (pratha) instead of rice! U can also use Basmathi rice or naan, but to make naan is quite troublesome and need lot of time to prepare. Since this was a last minute thing hahaha

Oiless pratha

This is the final product! This is north Indian style since it uses yogurt and heavy cream much. Southern Indian style is they uses heavy in ground spice! Nontheless, I enjoyed cooking this dish for my wife and brother in law!
