St. Catherine's Church in Zagreb, Croatia

St. Catherine's church in Zagreb (Croatia) is an old historical, baroque, not so big church with exceptionally beautiful interior. It's a symbol of Zagreb's Upper Town and one of unavoidable tourist sites.

During the "Festival of Lights" that held two weeks ago in Zagreb, its sacral features were transported onto the outside walls and by light beams illuminated in a form of its elegant stained-glass windows.

Gentle tones of beautiful instrumental sacral music across the whole St. Catherine's square in front of the church made the whole experience truly exceptional.

Smooth changes from one color and stained-glass shape to another, made the visitors standing there and watching it over and over again, maybe even not being aware of the end of that light performing cycle.

I have been in this church thousands of times before but I have to admit, I have never took that close look on its stained-glass windows to noticed all their beautiful variety, that has been highlighted on the outside walls during this past light festival.

Although it's impossible to bring the whole atmosphere, effects, and experience with just a few photos, I hope I managed to describe even just a bit of it.
