A Day At TSC, University of Dhaka.
Hello everyone,
I spent a whole day at TSC, and it reminded me why this place holds such a special place in the heart of Dhaka. TSC is not just a place you go to, it is a place where you feel like you are back in your student life. The moment I arrived, I was surrounded by the hustle and bustle of art students, the smell of fresh food (between 80-80 taka) and tea, and the lively buzz that continued till midnight.
I didn’t go there with any specific plan. I just wanted to escape my worries. I wandered around slowly, the place captivated me. At several places, students were hanging out in small groups, some under trees, some busy painting on the verandah, and some happily debating politics. That mix of art, debate, music, and everyday life is what makes TSC so appealing.
I had a cup of tea and found a bench to sit on. From there, I just noticed. Backpackers and students were busy wandering around. Friends were sharing food and.. even if you didn’t know anyone there, you wouldn’t feel uncomfortable. TSC has a welcoming chaos that makes everyone a part of the scene and I can say for sure, you’ll want to dive in too.
By the afternoon, the scenery around me started to change. The paths got busier and the whole area seemed to be slowly preparing for the evening. I wandered around near Madhur Canteen, and ended up taking some pictures of the last moments of the day and sharing some of them with you.
Finally, when evening came, TSC became a different world... lights were shining all around, the sound of guitars wafted through the air, and groups gathered for long conversations. It felt peaceful in a way that only TSC can, simultaneously crowded and quiet.
I left at 11:00 PM with quiet satisfaction, when a place gives you exactly what you didn't know you needed (tsc gave me). TSC is not a tourist spot. It's a living, vibrant corner of Dhaka where you can connect -with art, with stories, and even with yourself.
Thank you so much.
