drag one’s heels

مس‌مس کردن، آهسته کاری انجام دادن

(To act deliberately slow.)

He often drags his heels when I ask him to do something for me.

او غالباً وقتی که از او می‌خواهم که برای من کاری انجام دهد، مِس‌مِس می‌کند.

مثال دیگر:

If you really want to do this, then stop dragging your heels and get on with it.

اگر واقعاً می‌خواهی این کار را انجام بدهی، پس مس‌مس نکن و تمامش کن.

این اصطلاح به‌صورت drag one’s feet نیز به کار می‌رود.

Making her leave the house is dragging one's heels.
